Recent Developments in AI Tools for Healthcare

Google recently announced that its Agentspace platform is the fastest-growing AI product within its portfolio. This platform, along with the Vertex AI Model Garden, enables enterprises to develop agents that extract patient insights from various data sources. During a healthcare AI roundtable, Girish Naganathan, CTO of Dexcom, highlighted how these tools enhance the personalization of glucose monitoring devices and facilitate the integration of patient data into electronic health records for primary care providers. Ben Mabey, CTO of Recursion, noted that organizations utilizing AI developer tools can achieve quicker returns on investment by creating agents that assist staff in resolving IT issues.

Microsoft’s New AI Offerings

Microsoft has introduced Grok 3 and Grok 3 mini to its Azure AI Foundry platform. Despite initial skepticism regarding Grok AI’s potential in healthcare, Microsoft claims that the new models possess extensive domain expertise in healthcare and science.

Corti Joins Health AI Coalition

Corti, an AI infrastructure provider, has joined the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI), which aims to develop frameworks for the safe adoption of health AI. CEO Andreas Cleve emphasized the need for safeguards to promote responsible innovation in healthcare.

Ambience Healthcare’s AI Scribe

Ambience Healthcare announced its Coding-Aware AI scribe, which utilizes OpenAI’s reinforcement fine-tuning technology to generate medical codes with 27% greater accuracy than board-certified physicians. The company noted that coding errors cost the healthcare industry approximately $19 billion annually.

Innovaccer’s Data Interoperability Platform

Innovaccer has launched its healthcare data interoperability platform, Gravity, which allows organizations to unify data across clinical and operational systems using AI. CEO Abhinav Shashank mentioned that the platform’s low-code/no-code developer studio enables the launch of initial use cases within 90 days.

Nvidia and GE HealthCare Collaboration

Nvidia and GE HealthCare have partnered to enhance diagnostic imaging through the Isaac medical device simulation platform. This collaboration aims to develop autonomous X-ray and ultrasound applications, leveraging Nvidia’s pretrained models and simulations to validate imaging system capabilities.

OpenAI’s HealthBench Launch

OpenAI introduced HealthBench, a platform designed to evaluate the safety of health AI models. Trained on over 5,000 conversations, HealthBench simulates interactions between AI models and healthcare professionals, helping organizations understand model behavior in critical settings.
