Patients Know Best Introduces Nationwide GP Data Integration in England

Overview of the New Service

Patients Know Best (PKB) has officially launched GP data integration across England, allowing adult patients to store their GP-released data within their personal health record on the PKB platform.

Key Features
  • Accessible via NHS login.
  • Over 900,000 patients have opted to store their GP records since the soft launch in May 2025.
  • Integration enhances patient control over health information and improves collaboration among healthcare providers.
Statements from Leadership

Mohammad Al-Ubaydli, CEO of PKB, stated:

“We were already releasing over 20 million test results monthly through our hospital partnerships. Now, this comprehensive integration with all of England’s GP surgeries provides PKB with true national coverage. This development enhances patient control over their health information and fosters better collaboration between healthcare providers.”

Benefits of the Integration
  • Improved data sharing enhances care coordination.
  • Minimizes the risk of medical errors.
  • Leads to better health outcomes.
  • Incorporation of coded data will allow for automated, personalized information delivery to patients in the future.
Data Enrichment

The PKB software enriches GP data by adding SNOMED CT codes for conditions and medications. This results in a comprehensive set of coded data, including:

  1. Observations
  2. Measurements
  3. Symptoms entered by patients or professionals
Patient Access and Future Developments

Any adult in England can now add their GP data to their PKB record by:

  1. Logging in with their NHS login.
  2. Selecting ‘Get my GP data’.

Initially, patients will see demographics, diagnoses, medications, and appointments, with more information expected later this year.

Funding and Partnerships

In January 2025, PKB secured £6 million in funding to expand its personal health record platform in the UK and internationally. Additionally, partnerships with health tech startups like PocDoc and Holly Health have been established to enhance patient access to screening results and digital health coaching services.
