Involvement and Implementation
According to Andy Haywood, the group chief strategy, partnerships, and digital officer for NHS Humber Health Partnership, a diverse group of 138 healthcare professionals participated in the supplier selection process. He noted:
βWeβre thrilled that they have selected an EPR which leads in the KLAS clinical usability scores. This EPR programme will change how our group operates, clinically, operationally, and digitally.β
The implementation of ORBIS will follow a phased and collaborative model involving clinicians to ensure maximum adoption, clinical safety, and long-term value.
Dedalus’s Commitment
Richard Craven, managing director for the UK and Ireland at Dedalus, commented on the partnership, stating:
βORBIS brings the flexibility, safety, and usability needed to support sustainable, clinically led transformation. Our shared focus on clinical leadership and collaboration provides a strong foundation to deliver real value to staff and patients.β
Wider Implications
This development is part of a broader initiative to enhance EPR systems, which aim to:
- Reduce duplication of efforts
- Free up time for healthcare teams
- Improve collaboration among teams
These improvements align with the NHS’s goal of delivering better care through effective resource management and advanced systems.
