Market Context

The da Vinci 5 is the fifth generation of the da Vinci surgical robot, following earlier models such as the da Vinci X and Xi, as well as the single-port system da Vinci SP, which received CE mark approval in January 2024. The NHS has projected that robotic surgery will support half a million operations annually by 2035, a significant increase from 70,000 in 2023/24.
