Aston University and BioCare Collaborate on AI-Driven Nutrition App

Aston University has partnered with BioCare Ltd to develop an innovative AI-powered app aimed at providing personalized nutritional and lifestyle recommendations. This digital health tool will analyze data from health tests and questionnaires to offer tailored advice.

Key features of the app include:

  • Personalized Recommendations: The app will utilize advanced AI and machine learning to deliver customized nutritional guidance.
  • Data Analysis: It will analyze complex health data, including genetic information and lifestyle habits.
  • Long-Term Support: Users will receive ongoing support to help them achieve lasting improvements in their health and wellbeing.

The collaboration is part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) that combines the expertise of Aston University’s researchers in AI and digital health with BioCare’s experience in nutritional supplements. The project aims to transition BioCare’s existing paper-based model to a digital platform, enhancing accessibility for customers and health advisors.

According to Emma Ellis, Managing Director at BioCare, “Our goal is to develop a highly personalized digital health tool that will be central to every individual customer, enhancing their experience of nutritional support and long-term wellbeing.”

The app, named UniqueMe, will integrate various data sources to provide a comprehensive overview of an individual’s health, enabling more precise dietary and lifestyle recommendations than currently available.

This initiative not only aims to improve individual health outcomes but also positions BioCare as a leader in personalized nutrition, reinforcing its commitment to shaping a healthier society.
