Access to At-Home Health Test Results Through NHS App

Overview

Patients can now access the results of at-home blood and DNA tests from MyHealthChecked via the NHS App, thanks to a collaboration with Patients Know Best (PKB).

Key Features of the Integration
  • Integration went live on July 25, 2025.
  • Patients can securely share their test results with healthcare professionals.
  • Results are stored alongside other health information in a secure environment.
Statements from Leaders

Dr. Mohammad Al-Ubaydli, CEO of PKB, emphasized:

β€œWith the PKB integration, patients can now have their MyHealthChecked test results alongside all their other health information in one secure place. This fosters informed discussions where needed and supports accessible, preventive healthcare services from home, reducing pressure on NHS primary care settings.”

Availability

The service is accessible wherever PKB is operational with the NHS App, covering 22 integrated care systems in England and Swansea Bay University Health Board in Wales.

How to Access Results
  1. Patients must register for a PKB personal health record.
  2. Link their PKB account to the MyHealthChecked dashboard.
Comments from MyHealthChecked

Penny McCormick, CEO of MyHealthChecked, stated:

β€œOur partnerships with PKB and UK retailers are integral in helping us support customers to make informed decisions about their health. For the first time, customers taking one of our at-home blood or DNA tests will be able to link their test results into their patient record and access these via the NHS App.”

Test Range

The MyHealthChecked range includes tests for:

  • Thyroid function
  • Cholesterol levels
  • Healthy weight
  • Vitamins and minerals
  • Food intolerances
Quality Assurance

The tests are developed to align with standard NHS tests and utilize ISO 15189 accredited laboratories. Samples are sent to UK laboratories for analysis, and results are screened before being shared with patients.

Recent Developments

In June 2025, PKB launched GP data integration across England, allowing adult patients to store a copy of their GP-released data in their PKB record for easier access to health information.
