The Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) has revealed the eighth cohort of its US accelerator program, featuring 21 UK digital health companies that will gain access to the US healthcare market.
Program Highlights
- The cohort will utilize ABHI’s extensive network of hospital systems, life science communities, and mentors to scale their businesses in the US.
- Participants will engage in four “trade missions” to key life sciences states in the US.
- Access to Dell Medical School facilities in Austin, Texas, will be provided.

Impact of the Accelerator
ABHI reports that its US Accelerator has generated over $150 million (£117m) in business for participating companies and has facilitated inward investment, bringing more than 15 US-based companies to the UK to collaborate with NHS hospitals.

Future Prospects
Paul Benton, managing director, international at ABHI, stated:

Additionally, at the upcoming Digital Health Rewired event on March 19, 2025, the NHS Innovation Accelerator will launch its 2025 program, featuring 28 health and social care innovators focused on addressing key NHS challenges.
